SolBid, Inc. is composed of hard-working individuals, each with their own unique story. Today, we are putting the Spotlight on Patrick Kelly, Software Engineer here at SolBid.

Patrick graduated from UMass Amherst in 2022 with a B.S. in Computer Science. As a software engineer at SolBid, he works to aid the development and maintenance of software systems and apps. Patrick is currently working on an Asset Management tool for all of SolBids devices. Prior to SolBid, he worked as an intern at Siemens in the Energy Service Performance group. Patrick is passionate about the renewable energy space. During his senior year at UMass, he wrote a research paper on how battery storage systems are integral to a fossil fuel free economy. He hopes to help contribute to the overall renewable energy space through his work at SolBid. Patrick was drawn to SolBid due to help expand renewable energy and be a part of SolBids innovative approach to solar.

At SolBid, Patrick enjoys the culture of the company and the people he works with. Outside of work, he likes working out, watching sports and movies, listening to podcasts, golfing, hanging out with friends, and going to the beach. In the future, he hopes to see the widespread adoption of solar and energy storage systems. He lives by the motto: œJust Keep Swimming (Dory, from Finding Nemo).
