Sabo to support SolBid’s mission to streamline and simplify onsite corporate solar

Boston, MA: March 8, 2024 – SolBid, an AI-powered commercial and industrial solar energy evaluation and procurement platform, today announced the appointment of Douglas Sabo, former Visa Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), as a Strategic Advisor to the company. In this role, Sabo will bring the voice of the corporate CSO, sustainability and energy team to SolBid’s strategy, product roadmap, client engagement and industry thought leadership. 

Sabo is a recognized industry leader in corporate and environmental sustainability. He recently completed a 15-year tenure at Visa, where he led the company’s global corporate sustainability and ESG initiatives and most recently served as the company’s inaugural Chief Sustainability Officer. In addition to leading Visa’s transition to 100% renewable electricity during his tenure, Sabo also served on numerous industry leadership bodies, including the Sustainable Brands Advisory Board, New York Stock Exchange Sustainability Advisory Council, Sustainable Finance Working Group of the Institute of International Finance, and the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Sustainable Tourism. Sabo has been recognized as a Top 100 Chief Sustainability Officer by Sustainability Magazine and one of the 50 Most Influential in ESG by Constellation Research.
